St. Anne Women’s Club
The Women’s Club welcomes women of all ages who are parishioners of St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Broken Arrow, OK. Our meetings are the first Tuesday of the month beginning in September and ending in May. To begin our evening we pray the Roasary together in the Chapel at 7:00, and the business meeting follows at 7:30 with plenty of time for “catching up” after the meeting.
Our group is much more than the monthly meetings. 2009 is the twelfth year of our arts and crafts bazaar “An Affair For All Seasons.” The proceeds are used to fund our many activities throughout the year. They range from donations to the parish food pantry to sending funds to support religious formation and the aging. We are involved in many charitable activities from collecting socks for the homeless to baking cookies to support prison ministries. Our social events include a “Meet and Greet” social in August, a Christmas Wine and Cheese Party, a January gathering for socializing and several potluck dinners at our meetings. We also provide manpower and support for many parish events including First Communion and Confirmation receptions with support at the yearly picnic. Besides our monthly Rosary, we try and schedule a day retreat for women of the parish during Lent.
We invite all women of the parish to join our group. Many attend monthly meetings and others when schedules allow. With the variety of activities offered during the entire year, we offer something for everyone. Our calendar is posted on the website and will be updated regularly.
